Volunteer

Laura spent time as the President of Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) and co-chaired the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) House of Delegates. Her experience as a membership association board member taught her that every person is willing to donate their time or talents if we can find the best way to respect their availability.

Some opportunities to volunteer for the California HDAA Chapter include:

– Hosting a meet up.

– Participating on a panel.

– Volunteering with registration at a meet up.

– Facilitating a table discussion.

– Recording a podcast.

– Running our LinkedIn page.

– Suggesting a topic for future speakers.
