A senior leader with 30+ years of cross-industry success with a passion for partnering with organizations to power data innovation that leverages analytics/AI at scale. Most recently, Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Seattle Children’s, raising HIMSS AMAM maturity from level 2 to 7 in four years. Faculty member at TDWI and Healthcare Analytics instructor at the University of Washington.

Achieved HIMSS Analytics Level 7 twice. MS in Informatics from University of Colorado, BS in Nursing from Wichita State University.
Leslie Kian
Treasurer
HDAA member since 2003, representing MD Anderson Cancer Center as Director of Medical Informatics. One of the first five hospital members of HDWA. Built MD Anderson’s first data warehouse and created a centralized data analytics team. 45+ years of experience including 30 in healthcare.

25+ years in healthcare analytics. Senior Director in the Data, Analytics & AI practice at Pivot Point Consulting. 16-year tenure at Seattle Children’s. Also serves as President on the Board of Directors for Public Health International (PHI).

Mentoring Initiative
Data and analytics manager at Intermountain Health with 10+ years in healthcare analytics. Leads work focused on opioid stewardship and reduction. Advisory board member for HDAA’s Women in Analytics group. BS and MS in Statistics from Utah State University.

EVP and Chief Data and Information Officer at Medical Mutual. Former Executive Director of Enterprise Analytics at Cleveland Clinic with a 30-year career starting in 1992. Co-founder of Community of Hope, serving Northeast Ohio youth aging out of the foster system.

Director, Clinical & Revenue Applications and Data Warehousing at Trinity Health. 25+ years of data warehousing and analytics experience. Former Senior Director of Analytics at Virginia Mason and Director of Data Warehousing at Intermountain Healthcare. HDAA member since inception.

SVP and Chief Data Officer for Lifepoint Health. 20+ years developing analytic teams, establishing data governance, and delivering solutions focused on patient experience, outcomes, population health, quality, and revenue cycle.
Andrew Proctor
Board Director
Senior Director of Data & Analytics at The Cleveland Clinic since 1996. Masters in Health Systems Management from Rush University. His team received national awards for the Cleveland Clinic’s COVID prediction model and geospatial surveillance reporting.

Chief Analytics Officer at UNC Health, leading data, analytics, and AI enablement strategy. Degrees in Health Policy & Management from UNC-Chapel Hill, Chief Data Officer Certificate from Carnegie Mellon. 20+ years of experience driving healthcare transformation.

Eric Anderson
Executive Director
HDAA member since 2008 and Executive Director since 2018. 45+ years in healthcare, beginning as a nurse at Maine Medical Center. Led data warehousing, research data management, and served as technology lead for grants including a $15.3M National Children’s Study contract.

Program Director
Director of Information Systems at Donor Alliance. Since joining in 2015, developed the donation industry’s first data summits and led a nationally recognized effort to embed data quality in daily operations.
Pete Ivers
Program Director
Chair of the HDAA Epic Special Interest Group from 2018–2024 and winner of the 2023 Susan McFarland Volunteer Award. Previously responsible for data warehouse and reporting at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Part-time Program Director following retirement in July 2025.

Community Advisory Council
In 2023, HDAA Operations started an advisory group to guide and monitor membership programs. Co-chaired by Elissa Malcolm (Dartmouth Health) and Eric Anderson (Executive Director).
Purpose: Innovate HDAA programs, ensure member needs are met, sustain programming, incorporate diversity and equity, and identify volunteering opportunities.
